Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Golden Buffalo vs. Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles

Southeast is 0-10 against Bishop Carroll since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Southeast Golden Buffalo will head out to square off against the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Southeast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Southeast came up short against East and fell 57-49. The Golden Buffalo have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alana Webb, who posted 12 points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kamaria Mercy, who had eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bishop Carroll beat South 38-33 on Tuesday. The 38-point effort marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Southeast's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for Bishop Carroll, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Southeast was dealt a bruising 66-27 defeat at the hands of Bishop Carroll in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Southeast avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
