Baseball Recap: Rangely's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Rangely was the 8-3 winner over Nucla when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. Rangely fell just short of Nucla by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

Marcos Quintana was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rangely fell to 2-1. As for Nucla, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Rangely will welcome North Fork at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Nucla, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dolores at 2:00 p.m. on April 1.
