Basketball Game Preview: MACCRAY Wolverines vs. Ortonville Trojans

MACCRAY has gone a perfect 5-0 against Ortonville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The MACCRAY Wolverines will host the Ortonville Trojans at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for MACCRAY and six for Ortonville.

MACCRAY came up into this matchup off a tough 37-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg by a score of 58-55 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ortonville had to suffer through a 77-41 loss at the hands of Dawson-Boyd. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Blackjacks are ranked 39th).

Ortonville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for MACCRAY, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

MACCRAY was able to grind out a solid win over Ortonville in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 69-61. Does MACCRAY have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ortonville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
