Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Lighthouse Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-49 victory over the Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 74-73 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lighthouse Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Judah Louderback, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Louderback a new career-high in blocks (two). Jojo Rahn was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points and five steals.

Lighthouse Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Springfield Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Lighthouse Christian and Springfield Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Lighthouse Christian (ranked 55th) will meet Seymour (ranked 218th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lighthouse Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season. Similarly, Springfield Catholic (ranked 119th) will meet Marshfield (ranked 409th) at 6:15 p.m. on January 21st.
