Softball Recap: Campbell County Extends Winning Streak to Four

Campbell County put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts. The Camels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Addysen Griffin was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Griffin was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Josie Feebeck was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and five RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.5 RBI per game. Another player making a difference was Moriah Price, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Campbell County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lloyd Memorial only posted an OBP of .333.

Campbell County pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Lloyd Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Campbell County and Lloyd Memorial will both be playing Highlands the next time they take the field. Campbell County will head out to face Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lloyd Memorial will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
