Seven Lakes is 8-2 against Katy since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Seven Lakes Spartans will head out to face off against the Katy Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Seven Lakes is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Cinco Ranch on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Seven Lakes came up short against Cinco Ranch, falling 61-35. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 687th, while the Cougars are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Katy took on Cinco Ranch on Friday. Katy lost 69-43 to Cinco Ranch. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Katy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Seven Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.

Seven Lakes came up short against Katy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 41-33. Can Seven Lakes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
