Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dinuba). They put the hurt on the McLane Highlanders with a sharp 20-1 victory on Saturday. The Emperors are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.
Neveah Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Olivia Patterson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Ashlee Orozco was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Dinuba kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matches.
Dinuba's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for McLane, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6-1.
