Basketball Recap: Oak Hill Takes a Loss

Oak Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Rock Hill Redmen on the road by a 58-39 margin. The Oaks were probably out for revenge after losing 55-35 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rock Hill was led to victory by Izaak Cox and Kelan Davidson. Cox made all 10 shots he took racking up 20 points in addition to five boards and four steals, while Davidson dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Davidson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaden Bailey, who posted six points along with five boards and four steals.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Rock Hill, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will head out to square off against Western at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Western's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches. As for Rock Hill, they are taking a road trip to face off against Portsmouth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
