Volleyball Recap: Custer County's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Custer County lost against Swink back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bobcats lost 3-0 to the Lions.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-13.

Brylee Shy paced Custer County's offense, picking up nine kills. Shy got some help from Stephanie Lewis and her 19 assists. Trinity Downing controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Briana McElroy, who had 12 assists and eight digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Custer County's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Swink, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Coincidentally, Custer County and Swink will both be playing Sangre de Cristo the next time they take the court. The Bobcats will head out to face the Thunderbirds at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
