Football Game Preview: Hogan Prep Charter Rams vs. St. Michael the Archangel Guardians

The Hogan Prep Charter Rams will take on the St. Michael the Archangel Guardians at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Hogan Prep Charter is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Pleasant Hope to the tune of 42-0 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their 12-point performance the matchup before.

St. Michael the Archangel not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 42-0). Everything went their way against University Academy Charter/Kauffman as they made off with a 31-7 victory. The Guardians haven't had any issues with the Gryphons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

St. Michael the Archangel had a senior duo take command as Luis Tellado rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry and Gage Burgess rushed for 31 yards and one score. Those 134 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Tellado.

St. Michael the Archangel now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hogan Prep Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Hogan Prep Charter took a serious blow against St. Michael the Archangel in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 56-16. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rams were down 42-0.
