Basketball Game Preview: Kokomo Wildkats vs. Tipton Blue Devils

The Kokomo Wildkats will venture away from home to challenge the Tipton Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kokomo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.

Kokomo is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Harrison just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders.

Kokomo might have lost, but man, Makaela Drake was a machine: she posted 21 points. Drake continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Satyra Scott, who had four points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Tipton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt a 57-24 loss at the hands of Hamilton Heights.

Kokomo's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Tipton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Everything came up roses for Kokomo against Tipton in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 67-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kokomo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
