St. Joseph-by-the-Sea had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the St. Raymond Boys Ravens a 2-0 shutout. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ravens, too.

The result came thanks to John Gano's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, St. Joseph-by-the-Sea's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Molinini, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for St. Raymond Boys, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
