Football Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bear Creek Bruins, falling 63-14. The Vikings lost against the Bruins in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 39-12 score last time.

Although Edison took the loss, they still got scores from Teniyah Gaines and Ajaila Jordan.

Even if they lost, Edison's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jenny Moreno, Maria Lopez, and Jordan, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bear Creek, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Edison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 33-6 defeat against St. Mary's on the 11th. As for Bear Creek, they have also already played their next game, a 39-6 loss against McClatchy on the 11th.
