Basketball Recap: Rossville Gets the Win

If Atchison County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Rossville, they should've done a better job of containing Rylee Dick. The Rossville Bulldogs came out on top against the Atchison County Tigers by a score of 49-40 on Tuesday thanks in part to Dick, who posted 24 points along with seven boards and four steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Despite the loss, Atchison County still got an impressive performance from Kinzee Bauerle, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 65% of Atchison County's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got Rossville back to even at 5-5. As for Atchison County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Rossville has already played their next contest, a 43-32 win against Jefferson County North on the 31st. As for Atchison County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-44 victory against Perry-Lecompton on the 31st.
