Basketball Game Preview: Atlantic Sharks vs. Winter Springs Bears

The Atlantic Sharks will challenge the Winter Springs Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three contests.

Atlantic will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 33-point drubbing they dealt University on Tuesday. Atlantic breezed by University to the tune of 63-30. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Titans are ranked 454th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Winter Springs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a hard 63-49 fall against Seminole.

Atlantic will have to keep a close watch on William Sanders and Jack Clark, a pair of players who had a big impact on Winter Springs' prior game. Sanders posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Clark went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points. Lucas Chang was another key player, putting up seven points.

Winter Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Atlantic, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
