Kings Mountain is a perfect 10-0 against Forestview since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mountaineers will look to defend their home field against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Kings Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Forestview is facing Kings Mountain at the wrong time: Kings Mountain suffered their first home loss of the season on Wednesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 5-4.

Paige Fleming and Avery Cruise stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fleming went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Cruise scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kayla McSwain, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Forestview came up short against Crest on Tuesday and fell 6-1.

Olivia Hensley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Miley Skidmore made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

Forestview's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Kings Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kings Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like Forestview struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Kings Mountain beat Forestview 6-1 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Mountaineers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
