Volleyball Recap: Cinco Ranch Comes Up Short

Cinco Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Jordan Warriors, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

While Cinco Ranch was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Jordan's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-21, 26-24.

Cinco Ranch's offense was headlined by Reagan Petty and Emma Reed, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Ashlyn Edwards and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Cinco Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Jordan, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Cinco Ranch has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Nederland on the 6th. As for Jordan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Clear Springs on the 6th.
