Volleyball Recap: Asheville Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Asheville Christian Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Davidson Day Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that the Lions let down their fans at home.

Asheville Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Davidson Day into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 15-4.

Olivia Johnson paced Asheville Christian Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Johnson got some help from Caroline Simpson and her 36 assists. Reece Shuman controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 22-3. As for Davidson Day, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-10.

Asheville Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Davidson Day, they will square off against Wake Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
