Baseball Recap: Talladega Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Talladega had to endure a 20-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past the Loachapoka Indians 4-3.

Talladega's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Loachapoka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Talladega and Loachapoka could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Talladega (ranked 420th) will meet Munford (ranked 84th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Talladega has given up an average of 17.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Meanwhile, Loachapoka will square off against Reeltown at 4:00 p.m. on April 3rd down 336 places (404 vs. 68).
