Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Wildcats vs. River View Raiders
The Meadow Bridge Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by River View on the road and fell 71-29. Meadow Bridge has not had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Kierston Rozell and Lily Hayes certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rozell scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks, while Hayes scored eight points. That was a full 44.8% of Meadow Bridge's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meadow Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for River View, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge will take on the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for River View, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Tug Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Tuesday.
