Columbia had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Black River Pirates on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won nine in a row.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Black River lost, don't look at Remington Dieter. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and two aces. Dieter has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Black River fell to 4-1.
