The Wildwood Wildcats will square off against the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wildwood has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight losses, while Real Life Christian Academy will come in with three straight victories.
Wildwood lost 18-1 to Countryside Christian on Thursday.
Wildwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Barron, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Barron's first of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Real Life Christian Academy). They put the hurt on Hernando Christian Academy with a sharp 31-5 win last Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won four contests by 13 runs or more so far this season.
Real Life Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Eliana Klein, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Shawn Ramsey, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.
Real Life Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .741. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Real Life Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 19 runs. As for Wildwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wildwood has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Real Life Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 13.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
