Basketball Recap: Alsea Comes Up Short

Alsea made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Waldport, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Irish by a score of 40-38 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Irish: they've now lost three in a row.

Alsea's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Waldport, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Alsea will head out to square off against Livingstone Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waldport, they will take on Powers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
