Flag Football Recap: Windsor Forest Falls to Groves in First Game of Season

Windsor Forest had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of the Groves Rebels. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Groves found their leader in sophomore Jamaya Saunders, who threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.1% of her passes. Kayla Small was in the mix as well, providing the Rebels with two TDs.

The win got Groves back to even at 1-1.

Windsor Forest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 34-0 defeat against Savannah Country Day on the 30th. As for Groves, they will face off against Emanuel County Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
