Softball Recap: Oak Hills Drops Highest Score of Season Against Burroughs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Hills). They put the hurt on the Burroughs Burros with a sharp 24-7 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on KAYLA CAZARES, who fired off three home runs, ten RBI, and four runs while going 5-for-6. Those ten RBI gave her a new career-high. SIENNA GARCIA was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Oak Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .653. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Oak Hills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Burroughs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
