Football Recap: Livingston's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Livingston lost against Nacogdoches back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell 29-23 to the Dragons. The loss put an end to the Lions' undefeated start to the season.

Nacogdoches' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaylan Garrett led the charge by throwing for 325 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84% of his passes. 159 of Garrett's passing yards were hauled in by Micah Lockett, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Livingston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Nacogdoches, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

After each having a week off, Livingston and Hardin-Jefferson will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. The match will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Nacogdoches, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 42-10 victory against Rudder on the 19th.
