Baseball Recap: Parrish Community Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southeast on Tuesday, Parrish Community came back down to earth. The Bulls came up short against the Sarasota Sailors on Wednesday, falling 8-1. The Bulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sailors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Parrish Community saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Gehrig Skole also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Parrish Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Sarasota, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Parrish Community will challenge Manatee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulls' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sarasota, they will face off against Riverview Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sailors 1.5, the Rams 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
