Soccer Recap: Spartanburg Day Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Spartanburg Day ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Spartanburg Day were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Noah Brusch, who's now up to four this season.

Spartanburg Day pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Spartanburg Day and Spartanburg Christian Academy will both be playing Greenwood Christian the next time they take the pitch. The Warriors will host the Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Griffins will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
