Boone had won three straight games and Makauri Massey did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Braves came out on top against the Horizon Hawks by a score of 64-53 thanks in part to Massey, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 27 points and seven rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Jonathan Reyes was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.2% field goal percentage.

Despite the defeat, Horizon had strong showings from Joshua Gonzalez, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 13 points, and Diego Rojas, who posted 17 points and six rebounds. The matchup was Rojas' tenth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaydiel Rivera, who had 12 points.

Boone now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Horizon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Boone didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-37 win against Innovation on the 9th. As for Horizon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-48 victory against Lake Buena Vista on the 12th.
