Bishop Gorman's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans. The victory continues a trend for the Gaels in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Bishop Gorman had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-12.

Aiden Tran paced Bishop Gorman's offense, picking up 16 kills. Tran got some help from Rome Ramos and his 35 assists. Clive Fuentes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bishop Gorman's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Cimarron-Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-18.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bishop Gorman will take on Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Cimarron-Memorial and Sunrise Mountain will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
