Basketball Recap: Jones County Greyhounds vs. Woodland Wolfpack
Jones County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Woodland Wolfpack. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolfpack earlier this season, when they won 59-47.

Defeat or not, Jones County got some senior leadership from Tyler Wold and Chance Banks. Wold dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Banks posted eight points and five steals. Those five steals gave Banks a new career-high. Rudy Bowden was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.
Woodland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Omari Scott, who went 9 for 11 on his way to 22 points and three steals. Scott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Sekou Reid also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Jones County's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Woodland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.
