Basketball Recap: Bayfield Comes Up Short

Bayfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-28 loss at the hands of the South Shore Cardinals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trollers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-17 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Bayfield had strong showings from Adriauna Curran, who posted six points, and Autumn Christiansen, who had two points and four steals.

Bayfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for South Shore, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Bayfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 42-25 defeat against Lac Courte Oreilles on the 3rd. As for South Shore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-51 victory against Washburn on the 3rd.
