Basketball Recap: West Park Triumphs

West Park can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They slipped by the McClatchy Lions 51-50.

When it comes to explaining why McClatchy lost, don't look at Kai Bradford. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. The contest was Bradford's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Eugene Castillo, who posted eight points.

West Park's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for McClatchy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Park Panthers face off against the Kennedy Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season. McClatchy has already played their next matchup (against Grant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
