Volleyball Recap: Northglenn Comes Up Short

Northglenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Prairie View Thunderhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-10.

Gabrielle Kamalani Leialoha-Polk paced Northglenn's offense, picking up five kills. Leialoha-Polk got some help from Alejandra Franco and her seven assists. Leialoha-Polk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Northglenn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Prairie View, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northglenn is set to square off against their familiar foe Mountain Range at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Prairie View will take on rival Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
