Volleyball Recap: Hall Comes Up Short

Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Wethersfield Flying Geese. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Hall may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 21 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21.

Kaitlyn Coutts paced Hall's offense, picking up seven kills. Coutts got some help from Emma McCook and her 14 assists. Evelyn Bryant controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Wethersfield, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Hall will head out to challenge Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wethersfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaMoille at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
