Volleyball Recap: Regis Gets the Win

Regis saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Monona Grove Silver Eagles by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ramblers.

Regis can attribute much of their success to Olivia Haselwander, who had eight digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Haselwander a new career-high. Ashlee Dykess also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Regis was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive games.

Regis' win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Monona Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-5.

Coming up, Regis will take on Altoona in a tournament on Thursday. As for Monona Grove, they will head out on the road to take on Beaver Dam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Silver Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
