Baseball Recap: Alburnett Comes Up Short

Alburnett lost against Wapsie Valley back in June of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-7. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alburnett's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Wapsie Valley, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Alburnett wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-8 victory against Sumner-Fredericksburg on the 28th. As for Wapsie Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Beckman at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Trailblazers at the right time seeing as the Trailblazers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
