Baseball Game Preview: DSST: Montview Knights vs. Denver West Cowboys

The DSST: Montview Knights will head out to take on the Denver West Cowboys at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. DSST: Montview will be strutting in after a win while Denver West will be coming in after a loss.

DSST: Montview made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bruce Randolph, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 12-2 victory on Friday. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Denver West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 7-3 to Kennedy.

Aidan Quinonez put in work no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Quinonez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Quinonez wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Enoch Maestes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Denver West's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for DSST: Montview, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
