Baseball Game Preview: Bandera BULLDOGS vs. Canyon Lake

For the second straight game, Bandera will face off against Canyon Lake. The BULLDOGS will face off against Canyon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bandera has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bandera's offense. They came up short against Canyon Lake on Tuesday, falling 7-0.

For Canyon Lake's part, Carter Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Williams has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Michael Anderson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Gram Simpson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.

Bandera's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13-1. As for Canyon Lake, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-11-1.
