League recap: Alta Loma climbs in state rankings

Alta Loma moved up to 355 from 436 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Baseline. The Braves climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Fontana 29-0.

Glendora and Bonita played the closest game in the league this week, with Glendora eventually emerging with a 33-30 victory. Matt Fink threw for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 36 yards in the win.

Upland's dynamic duo of Tyler Hilinski and Trevor Wright proved to be unstoppable against Jordan, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hilinski threw for 248 yards and 3 touchdowns and Wright had 136 yards receiving. Marquis Wimberly helped Upland's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 78 yards.

The Highlanders/Scots' dynamic duo of Hilinski and Wright proved tough for the Panthers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

He was 8-10 with 2 interceptions.

Wright was the best receiver in the league this week as Upland defeated Jordan.

Hilinski put up the best numbers in passing as Tim Salter's team bested John Kane's team.

Marcellus Hunter was the most successful running back in Baseline this week. He ran for 139 yards on 20 carries as Alta Loma beat the Panthers. Jacob Hennie also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Upland's Hilinski and Wright have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Hilinski has thrown for 730 yards this season, while Wright has 21 catches for 422 yards. Etiwanda's Tacory Spencer leads the league in rushing yards with 316.

The Highlanders/Scots took down Jordan 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hilinski ran for 35 yards during the win.
