Volleyball Recap: Norte Vista Takes a Loss

Norte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Patriots. While the Braves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-14 in the first set.

Norte Vista actually scored more points across those five sets (98-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-18, 15-25, 25-21, 15-9.

Norte Vista's record is now 0-3. As for Heritage, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norte Vista will square off against Moreno Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will head out to face off against Tahquitz at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
