Baseball Recap: Mountain Range's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Mountain Range barely beat Overland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Mountain Range blew past Overland 21-3 on Monday. That looming 21-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

Michael Montanez was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Landon Maves was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

Mountain Range always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overland only posted an OBP of .292.

Mountain Range's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Overland, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Mountain Range wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Greeley West on the 20th. As for Overland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-3 defeat against Rangeview on the 20th.
