Baseball Recap: Putnam Takes a Loss

Putnam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Canby Cougars, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.

Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Canby, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-6-1.

Coming up, Putnam will square off against Wilsonville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canby, they will face off against Glencoe at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tide have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.81 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
