Softball Recap: Gar-Field Comes Up Short

After soaring to 29 runs the game before, Gar-Field was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 28-1 to the Potomac Senior Panthers. If the Red Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 17-7 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gar-Field saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Biddle, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Zuniya Chapman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Gar-Field's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Potomac Senior, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Coming up, Gar-Field will welcome Hylton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Potomac Senior, they will head out on the road to take on Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
