Basketball Recap: Covington Trojans vs. Riverton Parke Panthers
Covington was the 39-33 winner over Riverton Parke when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Covington Trojans lost to the Riverton Parke Panthers at home by a 47-32 margin on Monday.
Covington lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Karlee Drollinger, who earned nine points. Another player making a difference was Alex Sutherlin, who posted nine points plus five rebounds and three steals.
Riverton Parke got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Corinne Loomis out in front who went 5 for 8 en route to 11 points plus six steals.
