Volleyball Recap: St. Charles' Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

St. Charles had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Pattonville on Saturday.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25.

Rosemary Kuegele paced St. Charles' offense, picking up six kills. Kuegele got some help from Brynn Genebacher and her ten assists. Kuegele was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pattonville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jenna Cochran, who had nine digs and two aces.

St. Charles' win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Pattonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

St. Charles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Hannibal on the 20th. As for Pattonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Northwest on the 20th.
