Softball Recap: Rock Creek Takes a Loss

Rock Creek fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Santa Fe Trail on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Rock Creek and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Santa Fe Trail, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Rock Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Fe Trail, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-8 victory against Wellsville on the 29th.
