Soccer Game Preview: Belleville vs. Stevenson

The Belleville Tigers will face off against the Stevenson Spartans at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Belleville is headed into the game without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand Wayne Memorial an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. Given Belleville's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Wayne Memorial are ranked 369th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Stevenson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Churchill on Thursday as they made off with a 9-1 win. The victory continues a trend for Stevenson in their matchups with Churchill: they've now won nine in a row.
