Basketball Game Preview: Rye Thunderbolts vs. Woodland Park Panthers

Rye is on a three-game streak of home losses, Woodland Park a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. The Rye Thunderbolts will host the Woodland Park Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Rye was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-26 to Manitou Springs.

Despite the loss, Rye saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Taci Ehrlich posted ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Ehrlich is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Campbell Maloof also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Woodland Park had to suffer through a 56-23 loss at the hands of Florence.

Woodland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Rye, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-7.
