Flag Football Game Preview: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. Lincoln Hornets

The Mira Mesa Marauders will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mira Mesa will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln will be coming in after a loss.

Mira Mesa's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Kearny 32-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Marauders.

Mira Mesa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Olivia Peralta and Philippa Liu.

Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Cathedral Catholic, falling 21-0. Considering the last time the Hornets couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Mira Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12-1.

Everything came up roses for Mira Mesa against Lincoln in their previous meeting back in September, as the squad secured a 54-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Marauders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
